Detailed Corporate Profile

Our Background

Overall Corporate Experience

Pyra Management Consulting Services (PMCS) began as a sole proprietorship by Karen Pyra in 2001. Karen incorporated the company in 2003 and Jim Pyra was the first employee to join the consulting team. Since then, the PMCS team has grown and changed to meet the needs of the many clients with whom we have worked over the years. With a mix of full time and part time expert resources PMCS draws upon associates who round out the skills and capacity of the team to meet the needs of specific clients.

PMCS is committed to environmentally, economically, healthy and societally sustainable processes. We adhere to all municipal guidelines for recycling and low environmental impacts, and furthermore:

  • we assess all equipment purchases in terms of environmental impact and select equipment that minimizes that impact such as fuel efficient vehicles and multi-function printer/scanner/fax machines;
  • we use electronic communications internally wherever possible and if necessary, print on both sides of pages to minimize paper waste;
  • we use recycled paper and office supplies where possible, and always return used toner cartridges to the manufacturer for re-use;
  • we support local catering, select healthy menu options for meetings, and do not use bottled water in our offices;
  • we promote the use of electronic documents, teleconferences and use of video technology to minimize travel costs and encourage staff to carpool whenever possible; and
  • we enforce a power-off policy in our offices to minimize after hours electrical consumption.
